The survey is made by phone and covers 9,000 firms in manufacturing, the service sector, trade and construction. Die Stimmung in der deutschen Wirtschaft hat sich merklich verbessert. Der ifo Geschäftsklimaindex ist im März auf 96,6 Punkte gestiegen, nach 92,7 Punkten (saisonbereinigt korrigiert) im Februar. Das ist der höchste Wert seit Juni 2019.
